Whiteholmes Apiaries

Yes. We supply independent shops, bakeries, restaurants and other beekeepers. Get in touch if you would like to stock our honey or buy bulk buckets.

Each jar comes from one apiary. We can trace it back to the site it was harvested from, rather than blending honey from different places.

Yes. Our honey is unpasteurised, cold-filtered and 100% pure. It is never overheated, so the natural enzymes, pollen and flavour stay intact.

Keep it at room temperature in a cupboard, away from direct sunlight. Honey will naturally crystallise over time — that is normal. Stand the jar in warm water to return it to a runny consistency.

We raise nucleus colonies (nucs) for new and existing beekeepers. These are strong starter colonies, usually supplied in a 5- or 6-frame box with a marked queen. Availability is seasonal — contact us for current stock and collection details.

Yes. We post 5-frame nucleus colonies by Royal Mail Special Delivery Next Day.

We are at Whiteholmes Farm, Winster, near Bakewell and Matlock in the Peak District (DE4 2BJ). Collection by arrangement is possible — get in touch to set a date and time.

The honey produced by us ( Whiteholmes Apiaries) originates exclusively from managed hives located in the Peak District And Derbyshire. As a family-run bee farm, we prioritize sustainable beekeeping practices to ensure the production of raw, cold-extracted, single-origin honey. This means our honey is harvested directly from colonies situated in a specific natural environment rich in local flora, allowing us to offer a pure and authentic taste that reflects the unique characteristics of the Peak District and Derbyshire landscape.

The beehives at Whiteholmes Apiaries are spread out across Derbyshire and the Peak District, with our apiaries having 4 to 20 beehives in them, carefully placed to ensure optimal foraging for the bees. This strategic location allows the bees to collect nectar from a diverse range of native wildflowers and plants, contributing to the single-origin quality and unique flavor profile of the honey produced. The family-run farm manages the hives with a focus on sustainability and bee health, maintaining colonies in this protected environment to produce raw, cold-extracted honey and nucleus colonies that reflect the rich biodiversity of the Peak District.
